a dream comes true

Your hangar, your home

The airfield Rerik-Zweedorf (EDCR), located on the Baltic Sea coast in northern Germany, is a place of recreation with unobstructed views of rolling fields and the beautiful lagoon Salzhaff. The Baltic Sea coastline is characterized by its many holiday resorts and pristine nature, making Mecklenburg-Vorpommern one of Germany's leading tourist destinations. The elegant seaside resort of Heiligendamm and the larger yacht resort of Kühlungsborn are only a few miles from the airfield. A short drive to the east or west will take you directly to Rostock or Wismar– larger Hanseatic cities each with a unique cultural heritage and modern urban life.

This is the ideal location for Germany’s first residential airpark on the Baltic coast. There had been earlier plans to establish a similar fly-in community here in the early 1990's. However, it was not until Jürgen Steinfeldt, a merchant from Lübeck and passionate parachutist, bought the airfield in 2005 that the project got its start. The original concept was revised and enhanced/ infused with new ideas. All necessary planning permits and the development plan have already been approved by the local authorities.

The site comprises a mere 25 lots, 17 of which are connected to the runway. Individually planned residences can be built with or without hangars. An aviation museum with a restaurant and a bar will complete the development.

The airpark is close enough to the cities for residents to take advantage of the conveniences provided there, yet sufficiently secluded to relax and enjoy your active personal lifestyle. You need not worry about your non-flying family members or guests becoming bored, as they will enjoy the various outdoor activities and water sports. Local museums, theatres and zoos, as well as restaurants, boutiques, wellness and sports facilities offer something for everyone.

We welcome you to take part in this unique opportunity and see your dreams become reality.
